As a young married couple, we did not have the tools we needed to make our marriage what it should have been. We lacked communication skill, struggled with our finances and many other issues common to newly married couples. Since Angie and I grew up in Christian homes, we assumed our relationship would bring fulfillment. When it did not meet those expectations, it resulted in disappointment and hurt. In June 2008, we attended a Weekend to Remember® that provided us with renewal, refreshment and a chance to strengthen our marriage. We accepted the call to join FamilyLife® staff and moved our family from Waco, Texas to Benton, Arkansas in the fall of 2010.
