We listed our house for sale on April 29th and started showings on the 30th at 10 a.m. We left the house on the market for the weekend, had 17 showings and 6 offers! We signed a contract Sunday evening May the 2nd. We have since had the inspection and everything seems to be moving along toward a June 10th closing date. We then have until July 11th to be out of our home of the last 10 plus years. 

All that means we now have to get serious about finding a new home, in a neighborhood somewhere in the DFW area. We really, really, really need your prayers. This feels a little like finding a needle in a haystack. The size of the area and the crazy housing market add a degree of difficultly that we did not have when moving from Waco to the Little Rock area. So we are asking you to add this to your prayer list and pray earnestly that God will open just the right doors at just the right time.

Our plan is to head to DFW for the Memorial Day weekend to look for houses. We will stay there until the Weekend to Remember we are working in Plano. If we have not found a house, we will have a couple days to continue looking before we head to Sugar Land to work another Weekend to Remember. 

Like many things in all of our lives the last year, things are constantly being adjusted. Just this week FamilyLife got the okay to increase the capacity at our last Weekends to Remember getaways this spring. These five events are in the first two weekends in June - Plano, Phoenix. Sugar Land,  Jacksonville, and Tucson. We are wanting as many people as possible to attend and therefore we are offering free registration! If you or someone you know would like to attend please contact us as soon as possible.
