What a month March has been and man did it go by so fast. It has been a frenzy of activity for our household this month and I am guessing many of you feel the same. At the beginning of the month, we were just getting back from the Sugar Land Weekend to Remember. 

As soon as we recovered from that, we went to a niece’s wedding in Peru. We are grateful we were able to experience such a beautiful, Gospel-centered, multicultural wedding. I was the cameraman and Angie served the cake and helped with other details. Rachel was a bridesmaid and Brandon was busy being a college student in Arkansas and planning his own wedding. :-) 

Next, we made a quick trip to Mississippi to spend the weekend with family and check on my dad after his surgery. I helped Dad with some to-do list items he cannot do right now. Early Sunday morning, we sped back to Texas to make a two o’clock meeting that helped us get connected to a small group at church.

As soon as we got back from that, Angie started new responsibilities with FamilyLife. While continuing to serve as a shop manager, she is going to serve our Weekend to Remember Speaker Team. This team is made up of 46 couples who speak at our Weekend to Remember events across the country. Angie’s role as an assistant will be to help with their reimbursements, travel details and honoraria. With 80+ events per year, there are a lot of details that revolve around our speaker team. With time, she’ll take on more responsibilities and find other ways to serve the team.  

Angie then delivered Morgan’s wedding dress to Arkansas and went shopping with Brandon and Morgan for the suit he will wear for the wedding. Brandon and Morgan are seeing God open doors and provide as they plan their wedding. In the midst of classes and wedding planning, they are going through Prepare and Enrich with our FamilyLife chaplains and dear friends, Gary and Cindy. We are grateful they are seriously preparing themselves for marriage.

Now we are preparing to leave for our next Weekend to Remember in Indianapolis at the end of the week. The Indianapolis event will have almost 900 people attending. Then nine days after we return we will serve at our last Weekend to Remember of the season in Frisco. There is still room for you to join us at this event if you hurry. This event is quickly heading toward a sellout which would be just over a thousand people. Come join us! We would love for you to experience a Weekend to Remember first hand.

          • Pray for us as we continue to settle in Krum, meet neighbors and get connected to a small group. 

          • Pray for us as we continue to help Brandon and Morgan with their wedding plans. 

          • Please pray for Rachel as she is trying to schedule a test that will help speed up the process of becoming a fully licensed therapist. 

          • Praise that my dad’s surgery went well and pray that his full recovery will come quickly.
