Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
We served at both the Plano and Sugar Land Weekends to Remember this month. Between the two events we had right at 1000 people who heard the good news and were encouraged to pursue God's plan for their marriages. We saw God working in many ways and the following is one such story.
In Sugar Land, I was serving in a support role to the lead planner and Angie was working in the Shop. We found ourselves in the hall outside the ballroom while the gospel message was being shared. I stopped to pray for a man who looked distressed and I was looking for an opening to talk with him. Angie was straightening some apparel when she heard the message and saw several others stopping to pray. She took a knee to quickly join and lift up those hearing the gospel.
Shortly after this a lady comes out of the ballroom in what a coworker later described as a "holy unrest". Angie approached her and she said she needed prayer. She was a believer, but her husband was not. Leading up to the event he had been having dreams about Jesus and was actually scared to attend. Angie and another coworker prayed over her and also shared her request with those serving in our Prayer room.
A coworker, who was praying with her hand on the ballroom wall, later told us that she felt the Spirit lead her to put her hand on the wall to pray for someone just inside the ballroom. Prayer remains the most important part of what we do. I have told many that without the power of God we will have no lasting impact on those who attend.
Since we don't know the rest of that couple's story, please join us and pray that he and others come to know the Lord and that their families will be forever changed.
Transition update
The closing on our house has been delayed by the buyer several times and is now set for 6/28 or 29. We did not find a house yet in the DFW area and will resume our search after the ink dries on the closing documents. Please pray for God's provision in this crazy housing market and clear direction about where He wants us to serve Him in DFW.
"I have reconnected with my husband after having been in serious crisis. Our marriage is not “fixed,” but I do have hope, where I had none a few days ago"
Wife - Plano
"Great conversations! Gave us time to think and discuss things that we just haven't had time to (work, kids, household… just business). The Spirit has convicted both of us and we are engaging on those convictions, putting together a plan, asking for accountability, and most importantly trying to draw closer to God."
Husband married 4 yrs - Plano
"This conference has done more for our relationship, than anything I have seen in our 11 years of marriage."
Wife - Sugar Land
Please continue to pray God would give us clear direction about where to live. The market is hot and crazy!
Please pray as we pack and figure out the logistics of the move, especially if we do not have the house situation in TX finalized.
Pray for Brandon's transition when we move. A couple is letting him live in their spare bedroom upstairs until he goes back to college. We are thankful he has a place to live!
