Praying for your families to feel the peace, presence and assurance that God is with you.
Many things in our lives have changed over the last several months and I'm sure in yours as well. We thought it would be good to update you on what is happening with us and FamilyLife as we proceed into summer 2020.
Our newsletter looks a little different because we can't access the production printers and mailroom in the building and are now using a newsletter service to get our newsletters produced.
We are vacating the FamilyLife building at an accelerated pace and are 60% out of the building. The building has been sold and we are leasing some portion of the building back from the new owners who will move in August 31.
I went in to the building several weeks ago and moved all of my office things back home where I am currently working in a more permanent set up.
Angie has been assisting other staff members who are archiving all the ministry initiatives and products FamilyLife has produced over the last 40+ years! Everything is being sorted and packed to be shipped to Cru headquarters in Orlando.
The Events team that I am part of is diligently working to prepare for our fall Weekend to Remember season. We know that there will be many changes and are working with hotels to plan accordingly. Mostly likely the capacities for our events will be reduce by 50% - with appropriate spacing between couples in the ballrooms. The events I will be planning this fall are listed in the Upcoming Events area below.

Rachel at Hobby Lobby
Brandon is still going to graduate from Bryant High School, but we now have an actual date! On July 11th there will be a graduation ceremony and we will be able to invite 6-8 of our family/friends.
Rachel has gone back to Siloam Springs and has a new job at Hobby Lobby in the framing department as a custom framer! There is a big smile under her mask.
Here are a few things that have not changed as well.
We still plan on moving to the northeast Dallas area about this time next year.
We are excited about what God is doing in and through FamilyLife and we could not continue to serve without your partnership.
As the winds of change blow we are thankful that God's love and faithfulness never changes.
"33 years today with my lovely wife Linda. We are recharging our Godly marriage with this Seminar. Here's to 33 more! Going more vertical so we can overflow His love to each other." Scott
"We'll be celebrating our 9th anniversary on June 4 and have 5 kids under the age 8.
We are looking forward to laughing and continuing learning as we invest in our marriage. Thank you, FamilyLife for doing this online marriage study! We planned to go to our first Weekend to Remember in The Woodlands, for our annual anniversary getaway, but it got canceled due to COVID. " Megan
Pray for our FamilyLife staff as we continue the process of packing and moving out of the building.
Pray for the many staff who are moving their families. There are very few opportunities to say goodbye to friends and it's hard to meet new neighbors with the COVID restrictions.
Praise that Rachel got a call from Hobby Lobby the day she was moving back. She had applied for this position back in January! God's timing was perfect.
Join us in praying for peace and healing in our nation. Spiritual, relational and physical healing are all desperately needed at this time.
The spring events have all been canceled so join me this fall at one of the events below, use our group code thebarbers to save $100.
