My husband and I were in the process of painting and repairing our home to sell and divorce after 38 years.  God dealt with both of our hearts separately to reconcile, forgive, and recommit.  I cannot believe we got to renew our vows at the conference today!

We were at checkmate; however, with God and His faithful servants (all of you), we will keep playing and leave a legacy!

When we came, I really didn’t think we would survive.  Now I have hope and a commitment to stick with our marriage.  We have reaffirmed our love to each other.

This getaway has changed the course of our marriage forever.  Prior to attending this I was not continuing in this marriage, but since attending I have seen a change in my spouse and a gleam of hope that we can be restored.  Thanks!

The time of refreshing as a pastor to get away, just receive and build our marriage is priceless!

Humbling!  I didn’t even know my husband was feeling so unloved.  He was shocked to peel back the layers and recognize how much I really do love him.  Our ways of expressing and accepting are just simply different, not less than.

My husband has recently had to address his affair of 2.5 years.  We are attending specifically due to his actions.  This helped us to understand God’s role in our lives moving forward.

My husband and I are on the brink of divorce.  The Holy Spirit convicted me this weekend that I am not the wife He intended me to be.  This conference showed me that there is still hope.  I pray my husband will give me another chance – a do-over.

This weekend has allowed us to draw closer and really work out some of those invisible kinks in our marriage.  We didn’t come in a bad state, but we left so rich with wisdom for our marriage.

I think that this weekend was really healthy for us.  As an engaged couple, there were topics that we were hesitant to discuss and this weekend opened those doors for us!

My spouse and I had recently separated and I was no longer living in the same house.  I had recently contacted a divorce attorney and started that process.  Our daughter had been greatly affected by this split, especially since she’s recovering from her brain surgery.  I am happy to say I’ve forgiven my husband and we will recommit our love like God intended us to.

We have been separated for 2.5 months.  Our marriage has been very challenged as we move toward our ministry of Elijah House Prayer Ministries.  Your grace and demonstrations of leadership under fire gave us strength to carry on.                        

Wife, 2 to 8, married 26.5 years

We reconnected from the isolation we created over time.  The Love Letters were life-changing for us.  We will fight to not allow isolation to creep in again.  Oneness wins!  Thank God for this life-changing getaway and reminder.  We win because Christ won!

As a newlywed, the getaway was an extension of our honeymoon to help us establish God’s design for our new covenant!

I was hurting, committed to my husband for the sake of my children, not feeling love for my husband.  My heart was hardened and I was rebellious.  God melted my heart and gave me a renewed love for my husband.  I was transformed!  I was given the tools I need to be the wife God wants me to be.  Looking forward to the rest of my life with my husband!

We were previously on the edge of divorce, and I had “checked out.” Now I feel there is hope in walking together.

Before we came, I felt hopeless and helpless.  I truly was looking for an escape, a peaceful way to end things!  I honestly thought that maybe this seminar would change things, but didn’t have much hope.  I am so grateful that my husband and I committed to this weekend.  Thank you!

My wife and I had drifted apart.  I was consumed with work and made selfish choices.  After the conference my wife and I renewed our love and marriage.  I recognized that I had to put her first.  Our marriage was broken, not destroyed.  God fixed it!  I love my wife and best friend.

Generally, a wife will ask her husband to attend a marriage conference, but I took the initiative in this case.  We got into a big fight Friday night right after the first session.  By the end of the conference Sunday morning, her demeanor and spirit were nothing but humility and tears of joy.  God answered our prayers.  Thank you!

I chose my birthday weekend for us to attend . . . and I’m so thankful I did.  I could not think of a better gift than a great marriage.
