An industry-recognized credential is a verification of an individual’s qualification or competence. A third party with authority (U.S. Department of Labor, 2010) issues a credential. Authorities include business, trade association, or other industry-group assessments that measure technical competency and validate knowledge and skills in a specific industry. This also includes licenses or legal permission to engage in particular types of work that typically a government agency issues.
Industry-recognized credentials may substitute course-level WebXam assessments where permitted.
A student's industry credentials are collected through the Google Sheet linked below. School-based staff must accurately complete all required fields. Failure to do so could result in credentials being misassigned, impacting a student's eligibility for graduation.
You need to request access to the Google Sheet linked above in order to enter information.

WebXam is an online testing portal used by Career Technical Education (CTE) programs throughout the state of Ohio to have students participate in end-of-course testing needed for graduation. The system administers Ohio’s Career-Technical Education statewide assessments to Ohio students in qualifying career-technical programs. The tests align with Ohio’s Career-Field Technical content standards as established by the Ohio Department of Education. Educators throughout the state, as well as industry professionals, collaborate to create the tests for this platform.
WebXams results are downloaded at the end of the school year once assessments and scores have been approved by the vendor.
