🎒 Back to School: Helping Our Children Get Back into the Routine
The start of a new school year is an exciting time for children and families, but getting back into a routine after the summer holidays can take a little while.
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year at CPI Zaragoza Sur, here are a few simple ideas that can make the transition easier:
🌙 Get back to regular sleep times — A consistent bedtime and morning routine can make a big difference to children’s mood, concentration and energy at school.
📚 Create a calm study routine — Even a short period of reading or reviewing schoolwork each day can help children develop good habits without feeling overwhelmed.
📱 Set clear screen-time boundaries — Agreeing on when and where devices can be used can help children balance homework, leisure and family time.
🎒 Prepare things the night before — Clothes, school bags and lunch boxes ready in advance can make mornings much less stressful.
💬 Talk about how they feel — A new school year can bring excitement, but also nerves or worries. Giving children time to talk about their expectations can help them feel more confident.
Most importantly, don’t expect everything to be perfect from day one. Routines take time, and every child adapts at their own pace.
Here’s to a happy, positive and successful 2026–2027 school year! 💙
