RED

Radio Equipment Directive

The Radio Equipment Directive ensures a single market for radio equipment by setting essential requirements for safety, health, and electromagnetic compatibility. Executed as DE Funkanlagengesetz (FuAG), AT Funkanlagen-Marktüberwachungs-Gesetz (FMaG), NL Telecommunicatiewet (Tw), IT Decreto Legislativo n. 128/2016, and FR Ordonnance n° 2016-493, based on the 2014/53/EU.

The Data Act ensures fairness in the digital environment by clarifying who can create value from data generated by connected products and under which conditions. Executed as EU 2023/2854.

Classification, Labelling & Packaging Regulation

The CLP Regulation ensures that the hazards provided by chemicals are clearly communicated to workers and consumers in the European Union. Executed as EC 1272/2008.

Biocidal Products Regulation

The Biocidal Products Regulation harmonises the rules for the making available and use of biocidal products to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment. Executed as DE Chemikaliengesetz (ChemG), AT Biozidproduktegesetz (BioG), NL Wet gewasbeschermingsmiddelen en biociden (Wgb), IT Decreto Legislativo n. 179/2021, and FR Code de l'environnement (Art. L522-1 et seq.), based on the Regulation (EU) 528/2012.

Audiovisual Media Services Directive

The Audiovisual Media Services Directive sets standards for the protection of minors from harmful content by requiring appropriate age rating and classification systems across the EU. Executed as DE Jugendschutzgesetz (JuSchG), AT Audiovisuelle Mediendienste-Gesetz (AMD-G), NL Mediawet 2008, IT Testo Unico dei Servizi di Media Audiovisivi (TUSMA), and FR Code du cinéma et de l'image animée, based on the Directive (EU) 2018/1808.

Uniform provisions for vehicle parts

The automotive technical harmonisation framework ensures that motor vehicles and their components meet high safety and environmental standards to facilitate free movement within the Single Market. Executed as DE EG-Fahrzeuggenehmigungsverordnung (EG-FGV), AT Kraftfahrgesetz 1967 (KFG), NL Regeling voertuigen, IT Codice della Strada (Art. 71-75), and FR Code de la route (Art. R321-1 et seq.), based on the Regulation (EU) 2018/858.

Batteries Regulation

The EU Batteries Regulation establishes requirements for the sustainability, performance, and safety of batteries to minimise their environmental impact throughout their life cycle. Executed as DE Batteriedurchführungsgesetz (BattDG), AT Abfallwirtschaftsgesetz 2002 (AWG), NL Regeling beheer batterijen en accu’s 2008, IT Decreto Legislativo n. 188/2008, and FR Code de l'environnement (Art. L541-10-1), based on the Regulation (EU) 2023/1542.

ElektroG (DE)

Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act

The WEEE Directive regulates the placing on the market and disposal of electrical and electronic equipment to promote recycling. Executed as Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz based on the 2012/19/EU. Apply for WEEE-registration on the stiftung EAR.

UrhG (DE)

The EU copyright policy permits member states to implement a private copying exception, provided that right-holders receive fair compensation through levies on media and devices. Executed as DE Urheberrechtsgesetz (UrhG) (§ 54), based on the Directive 2001/29/EC.

Repairability and Durability Indexes

The French indexes inform consumers about a product's ease of repair and its overall reliability and robustness through a standardized score. Executed as Décret n° 2020-1757 (Indice de réparabilité) and Décret n° 2024-316 (Indice de durabilité).
