BELFAST

Belfast spends summers in Northampton living with the homeless community and works during the school year as a substitute teacher. Since a young age he’s traveled the United States and Europe. He loves people and feels safe living outside and relying on local food programs. He finds his work with youth very fulfilling and has hope for the future because of it.

"Working with kids as a substitute teacher I actually learned a lot about food through the different cultures...kids from all over the world.  I would like to see kids learning how to grow food. Kids are a lot nicer now than when we were growing up…when you work with kids, they give you a lot of hope, this younger generation they're so open-minded."

Check out some interview excerpts below:

“I believe it's friends and memories that make me rich.”

“I kind of think food should be free…I'd like to see our food supply become more like Europe, more organic.”
