Lately, my mind has felt cluttered. Too many gadgets, open web browser tabs, so many emails and then the "to do" items on my "to do" list. Then, I look around me. My desk is a mess. Piles of papers. Stacks of books. Bags of golf balls (don't ask). I actually can't work on my desk because of all this crap. So, I work at a table near the kitchen. But, that table is also starting to accumulate detritus from my work-life...papers I intend to read, notes, books...Ugggggg!

Clutter in our physical space has been shown to relate to decreased focus, depression, confusion and tension. No wonder I can't generate a coherent thought. So, if you're struggling to focus and concentrate or are feeling stressed and tense, look at the space around you. Do you feel like your space looks? If so, perhaps taking a moment to clean your space and organize your stuff will not only declutter your space, but declutter your mind.
