Our Future Needs.pdfAssuming that Humans will continue to live on Earth in spite of climate change and the other ways we are negatively impacting the environment, we must come up with strategies to either adapt to our new future or mitigate climate change.

Climate change adaptation means altering our behavior, systems, and—in some cases—ways of life to protect our families, our economies, and the environment in which we live from the impacts of climate change.
Climate change mitigation means avoiding and reducing emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere to prevent the planet from warming to more extreme temperatures.
The more we reduce emissions right now, the easier it will be to adapt to the changes we can no longer avoid. Using the scanned book above as a reference, select one current social-environmental system to modernize. Develop a model of this new system and explain in what ways it will mitigate current climate change and how it will help us adapt to future changes.
