Previous Lesson: Explaining Star Structure
COLOR AND TEMPERATURE
Describe the process of radiation, in general and in the Sun.
Describe the process of convection, in general and in the Sun.
Have permission and supervision if you do the teabag demonstration.
Synthesize one single claim/idea about the relationship between energy, temperature, color with structures in our Universe.
Communicate using multiple formats (orally, graphically, textually, mathematically)
Follow the parameters of an assignment, activity or assessment. Consider different forms of expression and how they can be used to communicate scientific information. Additionally, consider how the different media can enhance an overall message (use text and graphics to explain the structure of a complex system). Make sure that the message stays the same, regardless of the format.
Synthesize an idea from multiple sources, lines of evidence
This is how you are making connections between different ideas to arrive to your own conceptual conclusion. This is a practice you do a lot of during unit summatives. This is how you take the sum of relevant experiences to explain one thing. Another way this can be accomplished is by making connections between knowledge from various sources to support your explanation.
