Family. When I am not on campus, you can find me spending time with this fantastic group of people I call family. We're navigating the high school years, the junior high years, and the elementary school years all at the same time. I am thankful for my kind, generous, supportive husband who blesses me in so many ways. I didn't think I'd raise athletes, but all four of my children love being a part of a team: Cross Country, Track, Volleyball, Soccer, and Basketball. I'm court-side whenever I can get that direction. You might find me sporting some red and blue in the stands (Go Bears!).
Teaching. I started teaching in 2000; I have taught grades 2-8 (one year in a combo). For three years, I homeschooled my children. And, I was at the collegiate level for 9 semesters facilitating a 65-computer Technology Lab. To the classroom, I bring conventional and non-conventional teaching strategies. In 2013 my family relocated to Clovis, so I have only been in the Clovis Unified School District since 2014.
Education. In 2019 I completed a master's degree with an emphasis in teaching and learning using digital technology. In October of 2019 I plan to start a doctorate program with a focus on digital learning. So, research related to innovated EdTech will be on my radar for quite some time.
I am delighted to journey with you this year as we both explore various types of technology together. If I can serve you in any way, please let me know!
