Course Description:
Contemporary Issues in Education is an Honors weighted English class in which we study past and present trends in education from the achievement gap to special education to teacher credentialing and designing model schools.
Students Who Succeed in This Course:
Students who are interested in learning about public education throughout history and the current trends in education will enjoy this class. Students who like to engage in research and discussions on the topic of education and desire to apply their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills while learning about how they can someday make a difference in educational policies and practices, will thrive in this class.
