Course Description:
AP Environmental Science course is designed to engage students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methods required to understand the interrelationships within the natural world. Students will identify and analyze natural and human-made environmental problems, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving or preventing them. Environmental science is an interdisciplinary course where students will study topics from geology, biology, environmental studies, environmental science, chemistry, and geography.
Students Who Succeed in This Course:
Successful completion of Honors Biology / Biology and Honors Chemistry / Chemistry with a C or better. Successful completion of Math 2 with a C or better. Excellent independent work habits and strong study skills.
