Course Description:
The Advanced Placement Psychology course is designed to introduce students to the scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. They also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in research and practice. This course will offer students opportunities to learn about the discoveries made by psychologists since 1879 and also to do much self-reflection. This class aims to provide students with a learning experience equivalent to that of most college introductory psychology courses. This course will prepare students to successfully complete the AP Psychology Exam.
