Bees: Termly Reflection

A Buzzing Term 2

Term 2 has been filled with joyful learning, discovery and adventure for our Bee Group. As the children have settled confidently into Pre-School life, it has been wonderful to see their personalities blossom and their friendships flourish.

Through purposeful play, little hands have been busy strengthening fine motor skills with playdough, puzzles, tweezers, construction, cutting and sticking activities. Alongside this, the children have explored early mathematical concepts through counting, sorting, matching and Six Bricks, while also beginning to discover the fun of compound words.

A firm favourite this term has been our weekly Horse Sense lessons. From making special treats and learning how to care for the horses to confidently riding around the arena, the children embraced every experience with growing courage, confidence and respect.

Our psychomotor sessions encouraged climbing, balancing, building and imaginative play, while adventures on the Clifton obstacle course and our Duiker Dawdle through the forest inspired curiosity, resilience and a love of the outdoors.

The beauty of autumn came alive through creative art experiences, and our music sessions with Teacher Jules filled the week with singing, movement and joyful expression.

One of the most treasured moments of the term was our Grandparents' Tea, where the children delighted in sharing their preschool world with their special family members. It was a celebration of connection, community and the relationships that make Clifton so special.

As we reflect on a wonderful term, we celebrate not only the learning that has taken place, but also the confidence, independence and friendships that continue to grow. Thank you to our Bee families for your ongoing partnership and support. We wish everyone a restful holiday and look forward to more exciting adventures in Term 3.
