Hyotta, officially the Seolist Federation of Hyotta, formerly the Confederation of Hyotta-Tebria, archaically referred to as Hyuta, is a large Seoulist country in northern Harbyrence. It is known for having heavily resisted colonialism throughout its history, however, it was still a de jure colony of Ailissine from 1499 to 1951. It is also known for its highly anti-imperial stance.
Hyotta has had eight revolutionary wars. The Hyuta War caused the subjugation of the caliphates of Vzou and Izaiau and their incorporation into Ailissine in 1499. In 1506, the Vzou Caliphate rebelled and started an eighteen year long war of rebellion, assisted by smaller regional warlords, though finally in 1524, Ailissine was victorious in the Aile-Vzou War or the First War of the Hyottu Revolution. Another rebellion carried out by the Vzou was brutally suppressed in 1543 during the Second Aile-Vzou War or Second War of the Hyottu Revolution. The Izaiau Caliphate rebelled in the Third War of the Hyottu Revolution and started a war that lasted 1567, but was put down in 1601. 1657 brought the formation of the Confederation of Hyotta and the First War of the Hyottu Confederacy, which lasted until 1665. During the Fokelgamish Revolutionary War, the Confederacy rebelled again, causing the Second War of the Hyottu Confederacy, which, due to minimal Aile presence in the region at the time, was recognized officially by Fokelgam and Arkaea during its brief control of Hyotta from 1730 to 1734. Aile colonists returned to the region and suppressed the uprising soon after their loss in the Fokelgamish Revolutionary War. The Third War of the Hyottu Confederacy happened during 1770, but was put down quickly. The Fourth War of the Hyottu Revolution came with the dissolution of the Hyottu Confederacy and the formation of the Seolist Republic of Hyotta in 1804, which was backed by Fokelgam. Hyotta was made a dominion and granted greater autonomy in 1821 after the end of the grueling 17 year war. The peace between the Dominion of the Seolist Republic of Hyotta and Ailissine lasted until 1944, when during WW2, Vintarc landed soldiers in Hyotta and encouraged a revolt to distract Ailissine. This caused the War of the Empire of Hyotta, which collapsed in 1948 due to internal issues and lack of civil support. Hyotta officially gained independence from Ailissine in 1950, becoming the first country to become independent from a colonial power in Harbyrence since Sucesnea in 1794.
