New Eden Island (Heritagian: Jazirat Eadn Aljadida) is an island off the coast of Heritage in the Emerian Sea.
It was originally part of one of the many Heritagian cliques which went into exile on the island. The Diren royal family ruled the island as the Direnian Oranist Kingdom of Heritage, until their slaves killed them and took control of the island, declaring their nationhood in 1882. The island was invaded and occupied by the Ibeyan Heritagian government in 1912 and remained under control by Heritage until 1955, when the occupation was withdrawn.
The national flag was decided by a competition held in 1956. Until then, the island used the primary rebellion flag reading the national motto.
