Beautania

Beautania, officially the Socialist Confederated Duchy of Beautania, is a transcontinental confederation of Sorabessa and Gloriland.

It was known as the Kingdom of Sorabessa until conquered by Bastionspire in 1264. The territory was intended to be annexed by Heritage in 1344, but was sold to Ailissine instead. The Colony of Sorabessa was formed by Ailissine in 1344, and renamed by Joan Zoanon in 1452 to the Colony of Beautania. Ailissine maintained control over the colony until it unilaterally declared independence in 1789, though Ailissine maintained its control over neighboring Dormiland (now Dormiand) until 1866.

In 1928, Spiric forces overthrew the ruling government and established the Empire of Beautania as a puppet state. They also annexed the northern tip of the nation in 1929. In 1948, Heritage occupied the nation, and its land was returned to its pre-1929 borders in 1950 at the end of WW2 with the original government re-established. In 1974, the colony of Gloriland was granted to it from Ailissine, and the Szfasafi Union declared its independence from Beautania

It is a presidential republic with a monarch, the Duke of Beautania. Despite the nation being a constitutional monarchy by the official definition, the duke generally has more power than the current president, especially in Gloriland. The current Duke is Clau III.
