Rebidy, officially the United Republics of Rebidy, formerly the United Crowns of Rebidy, and known as the Empirical Realm of Rebidia during WW2, is a union between the Kingdom of The Reatells, and the Crown of Ibidy. The Ruher was a member until its secession in 1952.
When it first formed in 1499 as a union between the Ruher-Reatells and Ibidy, the nation was a diarchic monarchy (United Crowns of Rebidy), with the kings of Ruher-Reatells and Ibidy both ruling the nation (Ruher and the Reatells having been under the same king at the time). It became a single monarchy in 1622 (United Crown of Rebidy), and a constitutional monarchy in 1712 (United Republics of Rebidy).
In 1743, Heritage invaded and annexed the Reatells, which resulted in a brief period of instability until the region was returned in 1747. In 1921, a Spiric-backed coup was led in Rebidy which put the queen back into full power and caused the nation to lean towards imperial aspirations. Bastionspire also took control of their remanining Harbyrencian colony of Leiaque. They recovered this following WW2, but it quickly gained independence in 1952.
The Rebidian Civil War broke out in 1948 due to high levels of Pact support to the separatist state and concluded in 1952 with the independence of The Ruher, and the independence of Leiaque as a side effect.
Rebidy was very Coalition-aligned, however in recent times they have been further aligning themselves as a neutral, culturally Harbyrencian and Seolist state. They have increasingly cooperated with Heritage in recent times, and they joined the International League of Seolist States in 2020.
