Facts

Avia is an island in between southern Claustro and Harbyrence. It was historically owned by Bourke, the Annalite Union, the UASN, Archaea, Scaldria, and the East Avia Company, being divided between several countries at once for most of its recorded history. The primary language is Aevese Criol, which is a language based on Borz. It primarily teaches Borz and Archaean in their schools after Criol. Its capital, Ouisou'riouay was once the third most populous city in Bourke and its domains, and the second-most populous city of Shenterr was once the second-most populous city of Archaea and its domains.

In 1974, rebels in Bors'avi took over the city of Djayman and announced the Confederated Assembly of the Talon Peninsula's independence. From 1974 to 1981, the Talon Peninsula functioned as its own nation and was officially recognized only by Mochlund and Bourke, and eventually Aillissine and Trovillea.

In 1979, Bourke and Mochlund announced they would be withdrawing their respective governments from Avia. In 1981, Bourke and Mochlund collectively merged and ceded their territories to a new fully-independent country, West Avia. In 1992, Bastionspire and Skyvaria also ceded their territories to West Avia. In 2000, Archaea ceded its territory to West Avia. In 2010, Scaldria ceded its territory to West Avia. In 2013, the island was unified and the East Avia Company was dismantled, which caused them to drop 'West' from the title. In 2014, the East Avia Company was briefly re-established under the Urn District, and, in part, the rest of the UASN, creating one of the most significant current geopolitical controversies between the Urn District and Avia. It is still under dispute how much the Urn District owes the government of Avia, however the Urn District claims they owe nothing as they claim the re-establishmed East Avia was a legitimate extension of the metropolitan area of the Urn District and the oil they drilled there was rightfully theirs.
