We chose the topic of global warming as it has become a major concern in the world and we are already facing its adverse effects.
Global warming is not a single problem but consists of a number of environmental issues which occur over a long period of time.
It is the increase in air and water temperature. Certain gases in the Earth’s atmosphere prevent heat from escaping.This is what is known as the Greenhouse effect.
Human activities such as burning fossil fuels are known to affect the natural greenhouse and make the earth warmer.
Climate change is also resulting in an increase in temperature on the planet. There are severe damages being caused to some physical features.

The objective of our project is to encourage people to do their part to help slow and reverse global warming before it is too late. We should take drastic and immediate actions to stop dramatic chaos.
We all need to feel concerned and prevent further damage in future. Animals are awesome. We share our planet with them. We all need clean water. We need trees and fresh air to survive. We want to tell people how wonderful our world is and destroying it will lead to our own extinction.

Line of inquiry 1: Human Activities Responsible for Global warming (Form)
Global warming is a process where the earth gets hotter and hotter because too much carbon dioxide is being produced. This leads to extreme weather conditions causing droughts and floods of high intensity. There is evidence to show that carbon dioxide is a heat-trapping gas, thus warming the world. This gas is released when people burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas. A huge percentage of the carbon dioxide emitted in the atmosphere is produced by factories and cars. Some research findings suggest that industries also produce industrial gases such as Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and Nitrogen trifluoride (NF3). Both these gases also contribute towards warmer temperatures. Moreover, many scientists agree that global warming is caused mainly by human activity. Humans are also increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature by cutting down forests and farming livestock. This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.
In the section below, we will explore how some human activities might be responsible for global warming. We will also explore some issues related to global warming which are likely to have global and local impact. These are: the greenhouse gases, pastoral farming and the burning of fossil fuels, tropical deforestation, plastic pollution, the use of aerosols and transport.
Greenhouse gases and the greenhouse effect (click for more)
The greenhouse effect is the warming of the earth’s surface caused by the presence of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and certain other gases in the air. Of all the greenhouse gases, water vapor has the largest effect. Research findings suggest that the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities in the United States is from burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation. Greenhouse gas emissions from transportation mostly come from burning fossil fuel for cars, trucks, ships, trains, and planes. The greenhouse effect, however, does have its advantages. For example, the greenhouse effect helps to maintain a certain temperature level on Earth's surface, making it habitable for living beings. Thanks to the greenhouse gases, the earth is warm enough to sustain life.
Let us imagine that the atmosphere around the earth traps heat releasing from earth towards space. Certain gases in the atmosphere resemble the glass in a greenhouse, and this glass allows sunlight to pass through it into the greenhouse. However, the earth can not allow the heat it produces to escape into space. As a result, the heat produced by earth makes its surface warm causing harmful environmental effects. The heat trapped, causes climate change resulting in extreme weather and wildfires. It also makes ice sheets melt thus causing the sea level around the planet to rise. In many countries like China, the United States and India, fossil fuel is used as it is easier to store and transport. Also, as it is cheaper, it is more widely used. Unfortunately, fossil fuels are not renewable energy sources. Hence, if we do not reduce consumption, we will run out of them very quickly. There is evidence that fossil fuels pollute the environment if it is not used responsibly. They can be dangerous. However, today, there are sophisticated scientific methods which help us to collect more data which seems to confirm the idea that human-caused climate change is increasing at an extremely fast rate.

Deforestation is when people cut down trees to build houses, roads and for more space. Trees, however, provide many benefits. They take in all the carbon dioxide and release oxygen. So if we cut down trees, we will have less oxygen.
Tropical forest trees, like all green plants, take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen during photosynthesis. Plants also carry out the opposite process, known as ‘respiration’, in which they emit carbon dioxide, but in smaller amounts than they take in during photosynthesis. The surplus carbon is stored in the plant, helping it grow. When trees are cut down and burned or allowed to rot, their stored carbon is released into the air as carbon dioxide. This is how deforestation and forest degradation contribute to global warming. According to current estimate, deforestation is responsible for about 10% of all global warming emissions.

Plastic pollution is when people throw away their plastic everywhere. They pollute the environment. When the sun’s beams melt the plastic, all the greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere. It creates greenhouse gases and causes global warming.
It is believed that the more plastic people use, the more fossil fuels they will need and the more climate change! As our climate changes, the planet gets hotter, the plastic breaks down into more methane and ethylene, increasing the rate of climate change, and so perpetuating the cycle. Further evidence gathered from an article published by World Wildlife fund (WWF, 30 June 2021) also suggests that there might be a connection between plastic waste and climate change.

Aerosols affect the world a lot. It is part of air pollution. When people press to spray aerosols, there are tiny particles that escape and these particles go super fast to the sky. These particles have a very negative effect not only on the environment but also the health of people’s lungs and eyes. Aerosols impact the climate in two main ways: (a) by changing the amount of heat that gets in or out of the atmosphere and (b) by affecting the way clouds are formed and grow.
Some aerosols release light-colored and reflective particles. When the sun’s rays reflect on them, they bounce the rays back out of the atmosphere, preventing that heat from reaching Earth’s surface. Aerosols, like little flecks of black carbon from burned coal or wood, absorb heat from the sun. This ends up warming the atmosphere. Hence, the more carbon-based material collected in the atmosphere, the warmer the atmosphere gets. Aerosols also influence the formation of clouds. Water droplets mix readily around particles, producing clouds. White clouds reflect incoming sun, preventing it from getting to the surface and warming land or water. They also absorb the heat that the planet constantly emits back outward, trapping it in the lower atmosphere.
As stated earlier in this section, the amount of aerosols used by humans has directly impacted not only on the climate but it has also impacted the health of humans. Reducing dependence on aerosols and hence, greenhouse gases (GHGs) are high priorities for many industrial nations.
Primary Research findings:
This section shows responses gathered during interviews with a group of students. Since this research is an inquiry into the extent to which human activities threaten the lives of living things, the planet’s climate and various physical features, making living a challenge, we interviewed a small population of students to explore their opinion and views regarding climate change and global warming. When asked what they knew about global warming there was a 100 percent response rate about the adverse effects of human activities climate change: ‘It heats the world and does pollution; something that has to do with gas; It destroys the earth; sea level rising; pollution creates global warming; when co2 or green houses gases touches the ozone layer; it is affecting the environment; that it’s affecting our planet; that humans are causing global warming; it affects living things and there are floods’. When asked about human activities affecting our climate, 70% of the participants responded that the main human activity affecting the climate on the planet is pollution. According to the participants the pollution was caused by burning wood causing fires, cutting down trees, throwing factory toxins in the ocean and smoke When the respondents were questioned about responsibilities people could take to minimise the risk of climate change, 50% indicated that recycling could be a solution. Amongst some other responses were purifying the air, going to school by bike and stopping factories to throw things and finding ways to recycle, using water limitedly and cutting down on eating meat’ using less non renewable energy. Finally when asked if they were getting affected by global warming the 70% of the participants believed that global warming was affecting them and 30% believed that they were not yet sensing the adverse effects of global warming but that in future they were likely to sense the effects. The participants believed that transports were releasing smoke, seasons were changing, it was getting warmer and rain was very unpredictable.
Greenhouse gas emissions from transportation mostly come from burning fossil fuel for cars, trucks, ships, trains, and planes. Virtually all human activities have an impact on our environment, and transportation is no exception. Transportation is crucial to the economy of a country and people’s personal lives. It is however, a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions. In 2007, transportation in the United States of America accounted for 29 percent of the total greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). About 60 percent of transportation emissions were from passenger cars and light-duty trucks, about 20 percent from medium- and heavy-duty trucks, and about 12 percent from aviation. As a consequence, it is imperative that the transportation sector be part of the solution.

‘For the first line of inquiry we spoke about transportation, pastoral farming and fossil fuels, plastic pollution, aerosols, deforestation and global warming, greenhouse effect gasses. We did an interview with children in Year 5 and Year 6. I learnt a lot of things on this line of inquiry. Before we started working on this line of inquiry I did not know anything like this but I knew some of the human activities responsible for global warming. For the first line of inquiry I was very confident that we would finish in time and finally finished research on the first line of inquiry.’

Our first line of inquiry discusses human activities that threaten the lives of living things, the planet climate and various physical features making living a challenge. Areas highlighted are the greenhouse gases and the greenhouse effect, pastoral farming and fossil fuels, deforestation and global warming, plastic pollution, aerosols, and transportation.
Greenhouse gases: Greenhouse gases refer to gases that trap heat in the atmosphere and thus warm the planet. The main gases responsible for the greenhouse effect include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapour.
Pastoral farming: Pastoral farming, also known in some regions as ranching, livestock farming or grazing, is aimed at producing livestock, rather than growing crops. Some examples would include dairy farming, raising beef cattle, and raising sheep for wool.
Deforestation: Tropical forest trees, like all green plants, take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen during photosynthesis. When trees are cut down and burned or allowed to rot, their stored carbon is released into the air as carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming.
Fossil fuels: Fossil fuels are formed from the remains of organisms. Fossil fuels rich in energy are formed from plant remains that have been buried for millions of years. Coal is the fuel used in many electrical power plants. Research evidence shows that the burning of coal releases carbon dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas contributing adversely to global warming.
Plastic pollution: Plastic pollution is excess plastic that, due to its durability and the sheer amount produced, can be found in the sea, on beaches, in lakes and rivers. Plastic bottles and containers litter the sides of many roads and pose a threat to wildlife and ecosystems.
Aerosols: An aerosol is a collection of solid particles or liquid droplets dispersed in air. Examples include smoke, fog, sea spray and pollution particles.
Transportation
Burning fossil fuels like gasoline and diesel releases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, into the atmosphere. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transportation account for about 29 percent of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, making it the largest contributor of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.
Conclusion
With the vast amount of information and research related to climate change and global warming, our findings give a brief insight into some of the major human activities responsible for global warming namely the greenhouse gases, pastoral farming, the burning of fossil fuels, tropical deforestation, plastic pollution, the use of aerosols and transport. In the next section, we will investigate the consequences of global warming on the physical features of the planet.
On June 11, 2001, George W. Bush stated that, ‘The United States has spent $ 18 billion on climate research since 1990, three times as much as any other country and more than Japan and all 15 nations in European Union, combined’. ( New York Times, 2001, p A 12).
At that time already, eminent climate change scientists from around the globe, including the United Nations Intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) began to improve the understanding of ‘global warming’. The IPCC stated that the ‘global warming’ is a serious problem and must be addressed immediately. According to New York Times, 2001, ‘global warming’ is not just a collection of researches and articles, but rather a ‘REAL SOCIAL PROBLEM between people and their environment’.
Now in 2021, twenty years later, we continue to discuss how to resolve this huge global problem. As we explore this line of inquiry, we will discuss the consequences of global warming on some of the main physical features around the planet namely, the melting glaciers, loss of coastal land, flood in residential areas, forests, oceans and agricultural land. Physical features due to climate change, across the planet are being affected at an increasing rate.
Increased ocean temperatures are melting glaciers and ice caps all over the world. Melted ice increases the volume of water in our oceans. Warmer temperatures also result in the expansion of the water's mass, which causes sea levels to rise, threatening low-lying islands and coastal cities.
Ice sheets, sea ice and glaciers over Antarctica and Greenland (the arctic) are melting. According to a report by SKY News on November 29, 2015, experts on
climate change have said that warming at the poles has been faster than the global average and that 40% of the Arctic ice sheets have disappeared causing more Ocean surface. Another report by the PBS news, published in April 2019 reported that, at Antarctica the rate of melting is three Olympic sized swimming pools worth of ice every second. In that same report, a climate scientist said that the ice loss will accelerate sea level rise across the world. Furthermore, a report by CNN published on December 1st 2019 reported that the Arctic is heating at an increasing rate because the more Greenland melts, the more it speeds up the melting process.

Global warming can result in many serious alterations to the environment. It can also cause a rise in sea level, leading to the loss of coastal land. With the rise in sea level, coastal areas are affected. Either they are completely submerged or they are constantly flooded. ABC news, published on May 10, 2016 reported that five islands of Solomon Islands, in the Pacific Oceans have already submerged. The voice of Senegal on May 5, 2017 reported that coastal erosion is occurring at Maui due to the rise of sea level. BBC news on June 25, 2019 reported that Djakarta in Indonesia is sinking in the ocean. A mosque which was on firm land some years back is now half submerged in the ocean. Closer to us, in Rodrigues, at Pointe Labutte and at Vieux Grand Port, MBC news reported that the beach is receding in these regions leaving a rugged coastline. Sea animals and plants along the coast are thus losing their habitat causing a reduction in their numbers. Furthermore, coral reefs act as a natural barrier to the force of sea waves, but with rising ocean acidity, the coasts have to directly face the force of sea waves causing coastal erosion that can be seen in Mauritius itself. A report on BBC news published on January 12, 2019 stated that the sea level around the coast of Mauritius is increasing at a rate of 5.6mm per year.

Global warming is resulting in extreme weather conditions, more frequent storms of greater intensity and floods are occurring. BBC, in a report published on July 16, 2021 reported that Western Europe has witnessed its worst flooding. In fact these floods were described as catastrophic. Torrential (heavy) rains devastated parts of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In a village called Ersatz, in Germany, whole houses have been submerged. BBC news published on May 26, 2020 reported that the sea has submerged up to about two kilometres of farming lands and habitation. The government has had to relocate people who used to live in that area
Oceans and coral reefs (click for more)
The oceans have absorbed most of the extra heat and carbon dioxide (CO2) so far, more than the air, making the seas both warmer and more acidic. Warming waters are bleaching coral reefs and driving stronger storms. Rising ocean acidity is threatening shellfish, including the tiny crustaceans without which marine food chains would collapse. Rising temperatures and acidity within our oceans is contributing to extreme coral bleaching and even destroying coral reefs.
Animal habitats and plants on earth(click for more)
With the speed of climate change we are already experiencing, it is often not possible for a species to adapt quickly enough to keep up with its changing environment. Hence with the amount of habitat destruction, moving is becoming increasingly difficult. One in six species is at risk of extinction because of climate change. To survive, plants, animals and birds confronted with climate change are left with two options: move or adapt.

With global warming, wildfires are on the increase. BBC news, published in January 2019 reported wild bushfires in Australia. DW news, published on 5 August, 2021 reported wildfires which occur in South Mediterranean and Eastern Europe, the report said that countries like Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Ukraine were hit by wildfires in 2021. ALL TIME IOS an information channel in California said if that trend continues that state might become a plain grassland one day.

Our food supply depends on climate and weather conditions. Although farmers may be able to adapt some agricultural techniques and technologies or develop new ones, some changes will be difficult to manage. Increased temperatures, increasingly severe drought, floods, diseases, and global warming is a real challenge for the farmers who put food on our tables. Changes to rainfall patterns,more frequent heat waves and extreme weather make it more difficult for farmers to graze livestock and grow produce, reducing food availability and making it more expensive to buy.
In order to address this enormous challenge, it is necessary to take measures to reduce the risks of global warming. Action is needed to combat climate change. Positive human contribution to global warming is crucial. It is important to understand how this environmental concern which affects every citizen of the planet can be solved as quickly as we can before more damage is done.

Our second line of inquiry presents findings on global warming and its consequences on the physical features of the planet (Causation). There is plenty of evidence to explain how global warming is harming many natural features on the planet. Hence, within this line of inquiry, we investigate the consequences of global warming on glaciers, oceans and coral reefs, animal habitats and plants on earth, forests, bushfires and wildfires.
Melting Glaciers: A glacier is a big chunk of ice that is created from falling and accumulated snow over a period of time. Due to heat changes, especially to relatively high temperatures, the glacier melting occurs, where the ice changes from solid to liquid or water. Melting glaciers is therefore crucial evidence of the adverse effects of global warming on the planet.
Coral reefs: Coral reefs are large underwater structures composed of the skeletons of colonial marine invertebrates called coral. Corals are found all over the world's oceans, from Alaska to the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Animal habitats and plants: A habitat is the natural environment where an animal, plant or other organism lives. Factors like climate determine the number and the types of organisms living in a habitat. Heat waves, bushfires and wildfires are resulting in the destruction of many animal and plant habitats.
Deforestation
Forests are important and grow in many places around the world. They are an ecosystem which includes many plants and animals. Many animals live in forests and need them to survive. Cutting down trees implies less trees and less trees equates to more carbon dioxide, once again resulting in global heat being trapped and causing temperature rises.
Bushfires and wildfires
A wildfire, bushfire, wildland fire or rural fire is an unplanned, unwanted, uncontrolled fire in an area of combustible vegetation starting in rural areas and urban areas. Bushfires are the result of a combination of weather and vegetation, which acts as a fuel for the fire. The fire often begins due to a ‘dry lightning strike’ and sometimes by human-influences, such as the use of machinery which produces a spark. Newspaper in Australia reported that the Gospers Mountain fire was started by lightning on 26 October 2019 and 'burnt through more than 512,000 hectares of land.

In order to address this enormous challenge of extreme climate change, it is necessary to take measures to reduce the risks of global warming. Action is needed to combat climate change. Positive human contribution to global warming is crucial. It is also important to speculate how this environmental concern which affects every citizen of the planet can be solved as quickly as we can, before more damage is done.

Climate change is already happening: temperatures are rising, drought and wildfires are starting to occur more frequently, rainfall patterns are shifting, glaciers and snow are melting and the global mean sea level is rising
Humans and wild animals face new challenges for survival because of climate change. More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people's livelihoods and communities.

Global warming stresses ecosystems through temperature rises, water shortages, increased fire threats, drought, weed and pest invasions, intense storm damage and salt invasion. Humans and wild animals are facing new challenges for survival because of climate change and global warming. More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans are directly harming animals, destroying the places they live, and causing countless damage to people's livelihoods and communities. Increased heat, wildfires and insect outbreaks, are also linked to climate change. Decreased water supplies in many regions of the planet are resulting in reduced agricultural yields. Besides health impacts in many countries in the world such as Great Britain and Spain, as reported by BBC, heat, flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns. As a result of global warming, all living things are facing several challenges as physical features and climate are affected. According to studies carried out by Centres for disease control and Prevention, U.S. A and published in July 9, 2019 such changes are creating new health risks because of the proliferation of pets, viruses and other nuisances like mosquitoes, flies and rodents.Extreme weather conditions, unhealthy air quality and disease outbreaks are becoming more frequent and more severe affecting more and more people. Violent storms are causing problems in many parts of the world, in the U. S.A, India and Europe amongst others. BBC news on the 26th May 2020 reported that severe cyclone (YAS) means a severe storm) that hit the East coast of India caused land falls and other great dangers. On September 2nd 2021 it was also reported that New York and New. Jersey in the USA were hit by the very severe storm IDA causing a lot of damage. The warmer regions like African countries are witnessing longer and frequent droughts. Thus, former agricultural lands are becoming barren. This was reported by National Geographic in a report published. On October 8th 2019, SABC news of South Africa reported the severe drought that the Karoo region is causing a lot of problems to agriculture and animal breeding. The Northern plains of Kenya are also facing severe droughts. On September 11 2021, TRT World reported that at present, Madagascar is facing a severe drought and is on the verge of experiencing the world’s first climate crisis. It is facing the worst drought and food insecurity in four decades.

Global warming also has a great impact on the lives of animals. Some species are struggling to adapt to a changing planet. DW News published a report on October 2, 2013 where studies are showing that the Koala is also facing the same problem. The Increasing carbon dioxide in the air is causing the eucalyptus(a fast-growing evergreen Australasian tree that has been widely introduced elsewhere) leaves they eat to become toxic.DW News in that same report said that studies have shown that some animals react to the climate change by fleeing to region with more appropriate climatic conditions for their survival. Studies have shown that species move nearly 17 km towards the poles or climb about 11 meters high in the mountains every 10 years for cooler places to live. In another report published by the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on February 26, 2016 experts said that with the decrease in ice sheets polar bears are losing their hunting ground and their habitat and are therefore facing a great risk of extinction. A report published by Animal Wise on September 17, 2019 reported that more than 100,000 of the bat species died in a single Australian heatwave. It also reported that many animals are forced to change their lifestyle thus affecting their activity patterns like migration, habits, feeding and their habitat.
Plants also are greatly affected by climate change as a result of global warming as they flourish where the climate, the soil, the water supply and day length are appropriate for their needs. In a report published by the Peggy Norwbearnt nature museum on February 21, 2017 it was said that plants face a bigger challenge because they can't leave their normal habitat for another region. Some plants can tolerate environmental extremes but many are not so flexible and can go extinct. This situation can have an effect on humans and animals who need plants for food. As plants thrive best where all conditions they need are available, non- availability of the correct conditions may therefore hamper crop foundation for human needs.

This line of inquiry explores the challenges of global warming faced by people and animals. Climate change includes both global warming driven by human-induced emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large-scale shifts in weather patterns. Since the mid-20th century humans have had a very severe impact on Earth's climate system. Hence, to be able to deal properly with global warming and climate change, we all need to work together from government to industries to communities and even at individual level. World leaders must agree at the earliest on action to be taken to reduce global carbon emissions for cleaner air and more live able cities.
At the local level, the government should start preparing people to manage with higher temperatures. One significant action that each citizen could take is to plant one tree in urban areas and create more green spaces. Education programmes should be initiated to educate people in ways to protect the environment from further harm. For example cycling to school or pooling to use common transports.
Individual action on climate change can include personal choices in many areas, such as means of long- and short-distance travel and household energy use. Individuals can also engage in local projects related to climate change.

For this line of inquiry we inquired into the challenges faced by livings and their connections. This line of inquiry gave us a lot of knowledge, and a different point of view about global warming.

The first slogan means that if we destroy nature we won’t be able to have a nice future and I wrote the second one because in French when the head hurts we say “maux de tête” and since our planet is heating up and is in pain I replaced “tête” with “Terre” because planet in
French is Terre
Rayyan: Planting is the key to stop Global warming
Stopping Global warming would make Earth Like Heaven.

Some actions we can take to show responsibility towards our planet.
At Global Level
To be able to deal properly with global warming and climate change, we all need to work together from government to industries to communities and even at individual level.
World leaders must agree at the earliest on action to be taken to reduce global warming. For example: Reducing global carbon emissions to have cleaner air and more liveable cities. Global response that limits temperature rise to well below 2oC will help reduce global warming and its effect.
At the local level
At the local level, the government should start preparing people to cope with higher temperatures. One significant action that each citizen could take is to plant one tree in urban areas and create more green spaces.
Education programmes should be initiated to educate people in ways to protect the environment from further harm.. For example cycling to school or pooling to use common transports.
At the industrial level
Factories should make use of renewable sources of energy instead of burning fossil fuels to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide.
At the individual level.
Switch off the lights and all electrical appliances when not using them
Instead of travelling in a personal car, use public transport, walk or ride your bike when you can. This can help to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere
Reuse and recycle things as much as possible so as to reduce the burning of fossils as factories emit lots of carbon dioxide when making new products
Drying clothes in sunlight can save energy
Wear warm clothes at home instead of switching the heater to save energy.

We went to year 3 to explain what is global warming , its effect on our planet and what can we do to help .
For our action we recycled plastic bottle and cut them in half so that we could plant plants inside them . we gave the final product to all the year 3 so that they could take care of the plants .

Reflection
Gavishen: I think I have used my time well but sometimes I was chatting too much. I started to do some research. Some of my research was about the central idea and lines of Inquiry, It was also about the causes of global warming and its impact. So far I have done all my assignments. I did not face any challenge for the moment. I like my team. They are nice to me and have no difficulty in understanding me and accepting my ideas. They let me participate. And I hope the exhibition ends well.
Rayyan: I used my time effectively to write the central idea but sometimes I fooled around. I also wrote the key concept questions on the children’s planner. I have gathered some information related to the central idea which is on human activities. To this day, I have faced some challenges. But, so far, I have completed all my activities required for the exhibition. I feel like I have to allow my teammates to talk a bit more. I have worked in a group before the confinement. We had to do an informative poster about an art form and we succeeded. I used my time successfully to do a large amount of research. My group and I did research about the first LOI. We looked for the different human activities that were responsible for Global warming. I did chat a little too much but I was able to do my work. I think that I was able to get a good amount of research. I was able to organize it well on a google doc. I put the doc in the folder research on the drive. I was very responsible towards my research. I collected information about how deforestation and plastic pollution cause Global warming. I also looked for the consequences of global warming and climate. I accept my friends’ ideas and if they disagree with me or if I disagree with them, we try to combine or find new ideas. Our goals are to finish the art component, to at least start the survey and start the third line of inquiry.
Yaëlle: I think that I used my time effectively but that I could work harder instead of talking to others. I did a lot of research on global warming. I started with the causes then I researched on what can happen if we don't do anything about it, what can we do about it, the different types of reactions towards global warming, how badly is it affecting our planet and how is it affecting us all. I have not had lots of challenges but it's just that I need to learn how to defend my ideas but I think that our group works well together and if there is an issue we solve it pretty quickly .
Kaivalya: I think that I used my time effectively and to start writing on the central idea and lines of inquiry. I wrote the key concepts on children`s planner and did a lot of research as Yaelle on the first line of inquiry and central. At that time I had completed all my assignments. I did not face any challenges at that moment of time. I really like my group for the exhibition because they are very cooperative and helpful. They were really nice and had no difficulty working with them and they understood my point of view.

It has been a fabulous experience getting to know you and being part of this great journey in preparation for your exhibition.
From day 1, you have shown commitment and resilience to keep pace with the time frame we drafted and before we knew, we have come towards the end of this lovely journey. I will remember you as a very cooperative and open-minded team. It has been heart-warming to see the support you have offered to one another. Great team!
I have watched each of you blossoming during these past few weeks and
noticed how you have embraced some important lessons the exhibition process has imparted. These lessons would have, undoubtedly, helped you to know how to overcome obstacles you face, positively.
Very soon, as you begin a new chapter in your learning journey, I see you as well-equipped students, determined to reach your goals and ready to face greater challenges! Good job, students!
