Learning Assistants

What is our role?

Our learning assistants play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of appropriate supports in classes across the school. They work closely with our young people, forming strong relationships based on reciprocal trust. 

At Alva Academy, Learning Assistants support young people with their learning in both large class settings, small group settings, 1:1 and out in the community. They are also involved in the planning and delivery of targeted interventions within the ASN department.
