ASN Teachers

What is our role?

ASN teachers form an integral part of the extended pupil support team at Alva Academy. Each of the five PTPS has an ASN Teacher linked with their caseload. Together, they work hard to ensure the learning needs of pupils within their group are met. 

ASN teachers liaise with teaching and support staff across the school, communicate with young people, families and outside agencies to ensure the best support is provided. ASN teachers at Alva Academy plan and deliver courses designed to support the development of Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing targets for our young people.
