Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

At Alva Academy, we provide a flexible and holistic approach to supporting our young people with their social, emotional and behavioural needs. We are very lucky to have a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in working with young people experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and behavioural wellbeing. Our colleagues in Alva Nurture Area (ANA) work closely with the ASN team, Pupil Support team, subject teaching staff, senior management team and external agencies to provide bespoke support programmes, tailored to meet individual needs. ANA aims to provide our young people with trusting relationships, consistency of approach and an area they regard as a safe place.

Extra support for learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs can also be suggested for when the young person sits their SQA examinations.
