Health can impact the ability to access education.

At Alva Academy we support young people with a variety of health requirements ranging from simple medical conditions to life shortening conditions. We create bespoke support packages for our young people, taking into account their medical needs. Our skilled team of Learning Assistants are first aid trained and provide medical cover for the school throughout the day. If your child has a health condition, this is communicated to the relevant staff via our computer system, SEEMIS.

Extra support for learners with health conditions can also be suggested for when the young person sits their SQA examinations.
