Sekolah Cikal Lebak-bulus Year 10
The Personal Project exhibition is not only a showcase of what students are able to achieve, but also a presentation of their character, as self-regulated learners who are able to collaborate and contribute to the world as an active citizen.
Self-regulated learners are not only driven by the pursuit of knowledge when it comes to researching. There is also a great deal of empathy. If anything, the latter may be stronger than the former, as these younger generations continue to prove to us.
Their sense of caring and responsibility for their intervention to important topics, continues to remind me of the wonders of growth and a sense of community – as clearly shown in their projects.
One might argue that the world-wide pandemic may influence this, as much as it influenced their research and learning processes. But I believe that the drive to care and contribute comes with every individual. The personal project is just an effective tool that lets students develop that natural sense, while they discover more about their personal strengths and interests.
We at Cikal are very proud to be a part of their journey and to celebrate their achievements. If you please, I would love to welcome you to do the same. To wish them growth and success beyond mere individual or academic grounds.
Warmly,
Tari Sandjojo
Cikal aims to develop students’ competencies through all learning activities and programs. The Personal Project is one of the vehicles for students to demonstrate the development of their competencies and skills they have developed in the Middle School years throughout their learning journey. The personal project allows students to explore areas that motivates and interests them, to foster the development of independence and capacity for lifelong learning. This year, Year 10 students of Sekolah Cikal Lebak Bulus express their personal interests, passions and talents through their Personal Project. The process of completing the project enhances students’ capability to reflect, initiate and collaborate. Now, we came at this stage, to celebrate students’ learning journey. Let’s discover our students’ unique ideas at the Personal Project Exhibition. Please take a look at their original ideas, inquire to learn from their experiences and get inspired by their creativity and innovation.
Warm regards,
