Health communication, racial health disparities, health communication in non-native language, oral health, aging and life course studies
Tatiana Kohlmann currently works as a Senior Research Associate with the VCU School of Medicine for Dr. Brown's Lab and the HCDI Shared Resource within VCU's Massey Cancer Center. Her past research experiences have focused on investigating and alleviating health disparities affecting immigrant and low-income populations.
With a background in sociology and aspirations to lead research in gerontology, she bases her contributions on sociological theories in racial health disparities throughout the life-course. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta (International Sociological Honor Society), since 2018, and recipient of the Joe Morolloa Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement Award in 2019.
