Bio:

Dr. Alpert is an assistant professor in the Department of Advertising in the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. He is also a member of the Cancer Population Sciences and Cancer Informatics Shared Resource program, as well as an advisory board member of the STEM Translational Communication Center. Previously, Dr. Alpert was a postdoctoral fellow in cancer prevention and control in the Department of Health Behavior and Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in Communication from George Mason University. Dr. Alpert’s research focuses on how technology can facilitate communication between patients and providers
