Course Description: 

The Drama Course is designed for students to experience, understand, enjoy and value drama as a social, collaborative and creative art form and as an expression of culture through making, performing and critically studying drama and theatre. 

This is achieved by developing in students: a knowledge and understanding of dramatic forms and techniques, an ability to make drama through participation (including collaboration with others), the ability to improvise and play build (as well as to write scripts), an understanding of the place and function of drama in societies past and present and an appreciation that drama is a community activity, a profession and an industry.

External Assessment: 

• Written Examination – 1 ½ hours

• Practical Examination – Group Performance & Individual Major Project
