ATAR (optional) Category B - 2 Unit
This course provides the students with a broad range of skills and knowledge of the construction industry. Workplace health and safety and power tools are a major feature of this course. It is intended that students studying this course will gain an AQF Certificate II in Construction Pathways, or a Certificate of Attainment for competencies successfully completed. All units contain a practical component and materials will be supplied by the College.
Students completing this course are eligible to sit an optional, written HSC examination. The questions will be drawn from the Mandatory Focus areas and associated Units of Competency. The purpose of the examination is to provide a mark which may be used in the calculation of the ATAR. The examination if independent of the competency-based assessment and no impact on the eligibility of a student to receive an AQF qualification.
