Course Description
Standard English is designed for students to increase their expertise in English and consolidate their literacy skills in order to enhance their personal, social, educational and vocational lives. Students learn to respond to and compose a wide variety of texts in a range of situations. They study at least four textual forms: prose fiction (novels & short stories), poetry or drama, non-fiction, film or media or multimedia.
Standard English students aim to be effective, creative and confident communicators.
Suitable for students who have:
Sound/strong achievement in Stage 5 English (C grades, or higher)
An intention to be awarded an ATAR
