After high school, Dr. Terry Wahls attended Drake University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then went to Iowa State University where she earned a Pre-Med Degree. In 1982, Dr. Wahls obtained her MD from the University of Iowa. After medical school, Dr. Wahls completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis. Later, she was a resident at the University of Iowa in the field of Internal Medicine. After completing her internships, Dr. Wahls was appointed to the position of Associate, Internal Medicine & General Surgery at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
