james a. Orr

James Orr serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loras College in Dubuque in 1970. His Veterinary Science Master's degree was obtained at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1972. He continued there until 1974 when he received his Ph.D. in Veterinary Science and Physiology. He is considered a cardiopulmonary physiologist -- his work deals with the function of heart and lungs in laboratory animals, the results of which are applicable to human physiology.
