Welcome to our Class!

I was born and raised in Texas. I first attended Collin County Community College (now called Collin College) and graduated with my associates in French. Then I attended Tarleton State University and graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduating college I moved to Florida and worked many different roles at Walt Disney World.

I currently live in Anna, TX with my husband John and 6 year old son named River.

My favorite things to do outside of school are going to the park with my son. Watching T.V., relaxing, and visiting with my family.

What to bring to meet the teacher

1. Please review the Supply Labeling Directions Page prior to your appointment. You will need to help us by labeling many of your supplies before you come. Some supplies will need to be kept at home in the event that we need to transition to online learning.
2. Please print and fill out the About My Child page completely BEFORE you arrive for your meeting. If you do not have the ability to print this form out in advance, another option is a google form to fill out online here is that link.

1. Please bring the completed About My Child page or fill out the Google form and indicated supplies to your meeting time.
2. Once you have checked in, you will wait in the cafeteria until your teacher is able to meet with you to accompany you to her room.
3. Enjoy your visit with your new teacher! We are so happy to have you here with us. Once your visit has concluded, your teacher will accompany you to the exit on the south side of the building. You may follow the sidewalk around the building to get back to the parking lot.

This year our class will be using the Bloomz App to help us stay in constant communication. Please follow the instructions to join our class Bloomz group.

DAily Folders

Daily yellow folder- this folder will come home daily please check it daily for important messages from me. You may also used this folder to send messages to the teacher, such as changes in transportation, absences notes etc.
I will also include a monthly calendar with any important dates. This calendar also has a wxpectation list. If your student does NOT follow a classroom expectation you will see one of the numbers written for the day. That is how they did in class. If there is NO number then your child had a great day.
If there is a need anytime to send money to school for fundraising, pictures, or lost books please place it in an envelope or Ziploc bag and label it with your child’s name and what is it for. Place it in the pocket of the yellow folder.
Thursday folder- Celina ISD will provide us with a Thursday folder where important campus and district communication will be sent home. Make sure you check the folder every Thursday and return it to school on Friday.

Change of Clothes

Please send a change of clothes inside a gallon ziplock labeled with your child’s name. These will stay at school until needed. If your child uses these items at school please send a replacement set of clothes. It is helpful to also have a full set in their backpack to make sure they have enough.

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 45 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in recess.
