Welcome to our Class!

Hi there! My name is Ysenia Sanchez, this is my 7th year teaching and my first here in Celina!

I am a Sul Ross State University graduate which is located in my far West Texas hometown, Alpine.

My Fiancé, William and I recently moved to Celina and we are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives. I enjoy attending concerts, sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. I especially love playing with our two fur babies, Blu and Ella.

I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I have taught both first grade and kindergarten and kindergarten is definitely where my heart is. It is a year filled with so many wonderful learning opportunities and I cannot wait to watch your child grow. I believe learning takes place best in a positive, safe environment filled with love and laughter and that starts with building meaningful relationships.

I look forward to working with you and your child. We are going to have a great year at Celina Primary School!

Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 8th. Please sign up for a specific time to meet. The link for sign-up can be found on your child’s main teacher page and also through their Remind101. This will be a brief 15-minute meeting. Here is the link to sign up for a meet the teacher time:

What to bring to meet the teacher

Please review the prior Supply Labeling Direction Page
to your appointment. You will need to help us by labeling many of your supplies before you come.
Please fill out the form About My Child
completely BEFORE you arrive for your meeting. Please also fill out this How I Go Home Google form regarding your child's transportation prior to the first day of school.
Once you have checked in, you will wait in the cafeteria until your teacher is able to meet with you to accompany you to her room.
Enjoy your visit with your new teacher! We are so happy to have you here with us. Once your visit has concluded, your teacher will accompany you to the exit on the south side of the building. You may follow the sidewalk around the building to get back to the parking lot.

DAily Folders

Please be sure to check Blue Daily Folders regularly. This will be where behavior notes, daily notes, sight words, and other information will be sent home. This is also where you will send notes to school.

Change of Clothes

Please keep a zipper-sealable bag of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school or get dirty/wet and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please make sure to swap out the clothes to fit the changing weather.

Please include:

underwear
socks
shirt
pants/shorts

OUr Daily Class Schedule

Our students attend a different specials class each day for 45 minutes. In addition to daily specials, our class goes to P.E. class every day for 30 minutes. Students need to wear sneakers every day to safely participate in P.E.

**Please provide a healthy snack for your child to eat in class during snack time.**
