MEET THE TEACHER

Meet the Teacher will be on Monday, August 16th. Please sign up for a specific time to meet. The link for sign-up can be found on your child’s main teacher page and also through their Remind101. What to do before Meet The Teacher:

1. Please review the Information and Supply Labeling Directions Page prior to your appointment. You will need to help us by labeling many of your supplies before you come.

2. Please fill out the About My Child Google form completely BEFORE you arrive for your meeting. Please also Be sure to let me know How I Go Home prior to the first day of school. We realize this may be different the first day or week of school so please be sure to update any transportation changes!!!!!

3. When you get to the room for Meet the Teacher please wait for the previous parent to leave.

4. Enjoy your visit with your new teacher! We are so happy to have you here with us.

My name is Marla Fowler and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year! I am BEYOND excited to meet you all on Monday August 8th and put faces to all the names! I have some important steps for you to take before we meet.

Please follow the link below to do the following:

• Read through my teacher page on the Primary School Parent Guide site

• Follow the link to the SignUpGenius to sign up for a time to meet me on the 8th. Meet the teacher is by appointment only, so this is a MUST.

• Follow the link for school supply labeling instructions. Please bring all those supplies to meet the teacher so you don't have to worry on the first day!

• Follow the link to the About My Child google form, this should be done before meet the teacher so we can discuss it. Your results are private and will only be sent to me.

• Follow the link to the How I Go Home google form so that I know how your child will be getting home on the 1st and 2nd day (oftentimes the first day transportation may be different from the day to day thereafter). It is SO IMPORTANT that I have this information before the first day of school!!!

• Follow the link for more Kindergarten/Celina Primary/our class specific information. I would save this document as it has answers to lots of frequently asked questions. I will also be giving you a copy of this at meet the teacher.

• Follow the link to join our class Remind 101, this is how I will primarily communicate with parents about their child and what is going on with the whole class. You can set it up to come through on your phone as a text message!

• Follow the links to create a MySchoolBucks and Parent Portal account, you will need to use both of these for various things throughout the year such as adding money to your child's lunch account and viewing grades.

• If you so choose, get started completing the background check using that link so you can be all set to volunteer.
