Conference Time

Hello! My name is Lecia (lee-shuh) Crowder. This is my 21st year of teaching, but it will be my first year to teach pre-kindergarten. After five years as a special education or intervention teacher, I am so excited to get back into the classroom! I have taught kindergarten and first grade in addition to special education and intervention. Teaching young students is my happy place!
I live in Providence Village with my wonderful husband and our 17-year-old son. We also have two adult daughters and two granddaughters, with another expected in December. We are so excited to welcome our new family member.
I am so excited to meet your student and you as well and to get this year off to a great start!
Please review the Supply Labeling Directions Page prior to your appointment. We ask that you help us out by labeling many of your supplies before you come. Some supplies will need to be kept at home in the event that we need to transition to online learning.
Once you have checked in, you will wait in the cafeteria until your teacher is able to greet you to accompany you to her room.
Enjoy your visit with your new teacher! We are so happy to have you here with us. Once your visit has concluded, your teacher will accompany you to the exit on the south side of the building. You may follow the sidewalk around the building to get back to the parking lot.
This year our class will be using the Bloomz App to help us stay in constant communication. Please follow the instructions to join our Bloomz class group.
Daily yellow folder--this folder will come home daily. Please check it daily for important messages from me. You may also used this folder to send messages to the teacher, such as changes in transportation, absence notes etc.
The folder will have one pocket labeled "keep it at home" and one pocket labeled "return to school."
I will also include weekly report sheets to let you know about your child's day at school. You can use this information to help facilitate communication at home with your child about their day.
If there is a need anytime to send money to school for fundraising, pictures or lost books, please place it in an envelope or ziploc bag and label with your child’s name and what is it for. Place it in the pocket of the yellow folder labeled "return to school."
Thursday folder- Celina ISD will provide us with a Thursday folder where important campus and district communication will be send home. Make sure you check the folder every Thursday and return it to school on Friday.
Our snack time runs from 10:45-11: 00 am. Please make sure your child's snack is healthy, easy to open, and does not require the use of any eating utensils. If your child can open what they bring without help they can eat faster, and we will not have to touch what they eat (less germs)--also less mess, easier to clean and disinfect. They will not need bottled water or juices as they will bring their own bottles with straws to fill with water.
Please keep a Ziplock bag of extra clothes in your child's backpack in case they have an accident at school and need to change. Label the bag with your child's first and last name. Please change it out as the weather changes.
