Jazz Lab Band

Course ID - Intmd Jazz Ensemble

This group is comprised of students who participate in the 5th period jazz class. This class meets year-round and performs both on and off campus, including at Lakeside High School's annual Art Show and at GMEA District X Large Group Performance Evaluations. Other recent performance highlights include appearances at the Columbia County Teacher of the Year Banquet in 2021 and 2022 and the 2022 Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Mixer. Concert repertoire ranges from big band and jazz classics to popular music styles. Membership in this ensemble is via audition only, and members are typically concurrently enrolled in a concert band class. Ensembles members regularly earn multiple spots in the GMEA District X Honor Jazz Band.
