Intermediate Percussion Ensemble

6th Period – Intmd Inst Ensemble

2022-2023

Syllabus

The Intermediate Percussion Ensemble is one of Lakeside’s two percussion classes. Membership is determined by audition results or by default for non-auditioned freshmen. The “Intermediate” designation indicates that the class focuses on the fundamental building blocks of both individual and ensemble performance. The curriculum gives some remedial attention to musical literacy and technical facility while also providing exposure to percussion ensemble music. Students in this class will additionally perform large ensemble music with the Symphonic Band and/or Concert Band as assigned.
