About Lakeside

Lakeside High School is located in Evans, GA, a suburb of Augusta. Lakeside is one of five high schools in Columbia County and is fed primarily by Lakeside Middle School and Stallings Island Middle School with some students from Riverside Middle School. The school enrolls around 1,900 students each year.

Lakeside is consistently recognized as a high-achievement school locally, state-wide, and nationally. Currently, Lakeside is recognized among the top 5% of all high schools in the country by the U.S. News and World Report, placing Lakeside at the top of Columbia County. Lakeside offers an IB program, a large variety of AP courses, and many student academic clubs, activities, sports, and arts programs. We are privileged to have students from all of these areas and more involved in our band program. The school is under the leadership of Principal Rodney Tyson and Assistant Principals Philip Johnson, Whitney Poucher, Della Hughes, Jeremy Davis, and James Little.
