FIELD STUDY 1 – LEARNING EPISODE 15 TOWARDS TEACHER QUALITY: DEVELOPING A GLOCAL TEACHER OF THE 21ST CENTURY
REFLECT
ACTIVITY 15.1
Now that you have spent one school day to observe this teacher, it would be good for you to reflect on all your observations by answering reflective questions below.
Are you inspired to become a teacher after your observation? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Yes, I am inspired to become a teacher after observing Sir Clores. His passion for teaching, his ability to connect with students, and his dedication to creating a positive learning environment made me excited to pursue teaching in the future.
When you become a teacher in the future. How else would you do better as a professional teacher?
I would focus on continuing to improve my teaching skills by learning from experienced teachers, like Sir Clores. I would also work on managing my time better so I can balance teaching, planning, and administrative tasks more effectively.
What are some of the concerns that you foresee in the future as a quality teacher? Do you think you will be ready to address these?
One concern is managing a classroom with diverse students and their different learning needs. I think I will be ready to address this by using a variety of teaching strategies to meet everyone’s needs, and by continuously learning new methods to improve my teaching.
In what aspects of teacher’s day, would you like to congratulate the teacher you observed? Can you show your appreciation to this teacher by sending a Thank you card? (Include this in your artifact)
I would like to commend Sir Clores for his ability to engage every student and make learning enjoyable. I think he deserves recognition for his dedication and effective teaching. Yes, I plan to send him a thank you card to show my appreciation for all he does for his students.
ACTIVITY 15.2
Based on the task that you made, what challenges await you as a future teacher? How will you manage learning in the future classroom? How will you prepare yourself to respond to 21st teaching-learning and become a global teacher?
Make a short paragraph on how will you manage teaching-learning in the 21st century classroom.
As a future teacher, I anticipate several challenges, such as keeping up with rapidly evolving technologies and finding ways to effectively integrate them into the classroom. To manage learning in the future classroom, I will embrace flexibility, encourage collaboration, and ensure that students are actively engaged through interactive learning methods. I will also create a positive, student-centered environment that supports individual and group work. To prepare for 21st-century teaching, I will prioritize professional development opportunities, such as trainings, seminars, and webinars, to stay updated on the latest tools and educational trends. By continuously improving my skills and embracing new technologies, I will be able to provide quality education that is relevant and effective in the global landscape.
SHOW Your Learning Artifacts

Activity 15.1 Report on the Observations including evidence that go with it.
Activity 15.1 Narrative on the Day in the Social Life of the Quality Teacher
Teacher’s Qualities: I observed Sir Clores’s ability to make students feel heard and valued. His calm and inclusive approach creates a safe space for everyone to participate, no matter how quiet they are. This is something I truly admire and want to practice when I become a teacher.
Effective Teaching: I noticed that Sir Clores used different teaching techniques, like asking open-ended questions and encouraging students to think for themselves. This kind of teaching keeps students engaged and helps them develop critical thinking skills, which I want to adopt in my own lessons.
Thank You Card:
To show my appreciation for Sir Clores, I plan to send him a thank-you card. It will express my gratitude for the valuable lessons I learned from watching him teach. His dedication to his students inspires me to be a teacher who connects with students, listens to them, and helps them grow.
Activity 15.2 Drawing of the process classroom and a Drawing of your Vision of the Classroom for the 21st Century.
Activity 15.2 Narrative on how you manage teaching-learning in the 21st Century classroom.
In observing the traditional classroom layout, I realized that while it works, a more dynamic and interactive environment could enhance student learning. I envision a classroom with flexible seating that encourages collaboration and a smartboard to integrate technology into lessons. However, I also recognize the challenge of balancing technology with face-to-face interaction. To address this, I plan to incorporate both digital tools and plenty of opportunities for students to engage with each other in person, creating an environment where learning feels exciting and connected to real-world tools.
