Google has a great spread sheet program called sheets. It is similar to Microsoft Excel.
This project will use Google sheets to chart the predicted weather of a city over a one week period then graph the results automatically using Google sheets

Directions
Open Google Chrome then Log in to your Google account Click Apps then Drive
Click New then Sheets
Visual
Rename your presentation by double clicking on "untitled document" in the top left corner.
Rename it weather then add the name of your city you choose
Open a new tab in Google Chrome and type in weather and the name of your city into the omnibox of chrome
We are going to chart weather data on our sheet for five days.
Temperature
Precipitation
Wind
Temperature will be first
Click on the grey temperature button so the graph below shows the predicted weather for the rest of the week
Now we will set up our sheets headings for the data
Type Day in cell A1 type Monday in Cell A2 then use the fill handle to drag the rest of the days of the week without typing them
You know you are on the fill handle when your mouse turns into a black cross.
Now type in Temperature, Precipitation, Wind in cells B1 C1 and D1
Format headings
Highlight cells A1 to D1 and change the fill color by clicking the fill color button
Do the same for cells A2 to A6 change colors for this column
You can also change the font type, size and color if you would like.
Enter Data for Temperature
Click Temperature then Monday and enter the high temp for Monday
Continue to days and enter data for all 5 days
Enter Data for Precipitation
Click Precipitation then Monday and enter the chance of Precipitation for Monday
Continue to days and enter data for all 5 days
Enter Data for Wind
Click Wind then Monday and enter the chance of Wind for Monday
Continue to days and enter data for all 5 days
Remember only input the numerical data don't add the percentage symbol or degree symbol.
Find average for the week
We want Google sheets to find the weekly average temperature, precipitation and wind speed.
Click on cell G2 then click the functions button
and select AVERAGE
Highlight cells B2 through F2 press enter
Format the average so it looks like the rest of your data
Fill Average formula to other rows
Use the fill handle to copy the formulas for precipitation and wind speed.
Add a Average heading and format like the rest
You can use the format painter to do this quickly
click on the format you want to paint then click the format painter button
highlight all the cells that you want with to paint the format.
Graph the data
Highlight the data and headings don't include the average
Click on insert Chart
Select the chart type you want click Insert
Change Title
Click on the title and change it to Weather Boise
