The theme for the first competition of the year is Matariki!
Here are the activities you can choose from for the competition:
Imagine you are one of the stars in the Matariki cluster, tell us your story from your starry perspective ✨✨
↳ For more detail, you could choose one specific star and include what message it may convey about the past, present or future, or how its association (e.g. food, wind) influences Matariki observances and traditions

Complete the colouring template that is featured to the right! 🎨🖍️🎉
Prizes:

The last competition for the year theme was Christmas themed! Participants had to write a poem or song about Christmas festivities, design a gingerbread house and send us a photo, or complete the colouring competition on the left

September 2024 competition
The September writing competition theme was all about the Olympics! Participants had to either write about their favourite olympian, persuade the OCC to allow a new sport to be featured, or imagine they are an Olympic athlete and write about their experiences. Well done to everyone who participated!
