Big Idea: ACT (Acting/ Action! Coordinated with Technology)
Inquiry Question: How can student voice and agency be incorporated and led by technology?
Overview: Students engaged with familiar online technology including music and performance platforms, to create new works of art. The program was heavily reliant on student knowledge of Pandemic/ Online technology from remote learning platforms. In the below framework, student agency and voice were employed in each step. Activities included:
Daily doodles to student-curated music list.
Games
Daily end-of class reflection page using Jamboard!
Creating wearable pieces of art
Creating characters based on already existing subject matter/ short film.
Creating story via comic book/ storyboarding techniques
Creating performance- based on lived experiences or those imagined. (Building upon the storyboard technique)
Working through the steps of creating new performances which included:
a. Creation
b. Showing part of the work to peers (class)
c. Changing the work based on peer feedback
d. Completion of work based on preference and peer feedback

Hair Love!
Students explored different hairstyles created a self-portraits featuring their hair, created living hairstyles, and watched the film 'Hair Love' for inspiration!
Wearable Art!
The class took an action and created wearable pieces of art! Students also watched videos on making wearable art like that of, Joshua Vides and his work at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art!
Comics and Puppet Theater!

How Time Flies: Time Capsules!
