Inquiry Question
What did I learned from myself when making this drawing?
Tell the story of your project
We finished the school year with a "Convivio" in the garden at Telpochcalli School. Some of the Mother Artist were there but the majority of them followed the session via Zoom. We shared our work and ate tamales with coffee. We invited them to the Summer Class and discussed some ideas for the projects.
We started with exercises of blind contour. We had a lot of fun with this activity and it helped Mother Artists to let it flow, releasing the stress and enjoying it.

Then we shared and laughed about ourselves.
In another class, with the teenagers, we boult a collaborative tree called "The tree of fears, dreams and compromises". First, we expressed our fears and wrote them in place of the roots. Then we reflected about our dreams as opposite of the fears and we placed them in the foliage of the tree. Lastly, We reflected about what could we do in order to reach the dreams writing actions that are in our hands to accomplish. Real facts.
How did you incorporate your manifesto in your project?
Mother Artists answered to the question Who am I? / ¿Quién soy yo?. Originally the idea was to write a Bio but it turned to a poem about themselves. Some of them made a self-portrait using soft pastels, others are still in the process.
