What is Curipod?

Curipod an innovative educational platform that can truly transform how you plan and deliver your lessons. Curipod allows teachers to create engaging, interactive lessons that students can access directly on their devices. Simple and easy to generate slides by creating an account through Google, or an email with a password. You can explore more on how to use it here.

Curipod allows you to create interactive lessons using a myriad of tools and elements such as surveys, word clouds, open-ended questions, and Q&A sessions. These features foster students' interaction and promote discussions in a more dynamic style.

Customizing

You have the flexibility to select from a range of ready-made templates to quickly enhance the look of your slides.

Participation

Possible Uses in the classroom

Let's take a look at the variety of activities you can do to boost your lessons:

ONLINE EXIT TICKET

Once you're on the main dashboard, click on the “Create” or “New Curipod” button. You can select from the activity options to customize a daily routine lesson (see pic.1). You’ll see a variety of templates. Curipod will automatically generate a ready-to-use exit ticket with editable questions. You can customize the prompt to match what you’ve covered in class, whether it’s a reflective question, a quick quiz, or an open-ended response. You can also adjust the format, choosing between multiple choice, text response, or even emoji reactions. Once your exit ticket is set, click “Present” to launch it. A join code will appear for your students to access the activity on their devices. As they submit their responses, you’ll be able to view them in real time and download the results if needed.

WRITING ACTIVITIES

Another alternative is to create a writing activity.

You can choose to the create with AI section (see Fig. 3) and choose from the variety of ready-made templates. Choose one and then customize (see Fig. 4). In the example below, we selected a ready-made template based on emoji and their meanings (see Fig. 5).

The advantage is that you can edit the lesson as you please and share it with your students when ready. You can select what kind of interaction you will want to have with your students to complete the activities from the lesson. In this case, the template provides slide 2 (see Fig. 6) with an AI feedback section where students will choose an emotion and describe what emotion the emoji expresses without saying the emotion. Then, in slide 3 (see Fig. 7), students share their productions with a partner to see if they can guess the emotion and explain why.

Conclusion

Curipod is a powerful and user-friendly tool that helps teachers save time and boosts students' engagement through interactive and AI-supported lessons. Its ready-made templates, polls, and collaborative features make lesson planning quicker and more dynamic. However, like any tool, it has limitations—such as restricted features in the free version and the need for internet access.
