Gamma AI is an innovative app that helps teachers and students to create presentations, and documents powered by AI, as many other sites and apps are doing so. As English teachers, understanding tools like Gamma AI can be invaluable for classroom resources. It is a great way to avoid the classic PowerPoint templates (Guo 2024) that both students and teachers have seen a million times.
The app offers a user-friendly interface for generating content (Gamma 2025). You can "Generate" a first draft from a topic, "Paste" existing text to transform it into a structured presentation, or "Import" files and URLs for conversion. After this stage has been completed, an AI editor helps refine the work.

The following class will take place in a secondary school of Buenos Aires oriented into arts. The students are between 15 and 16 years old and their average level of English is a B1 and are working on a project about superheroes. Throughout the unit, students have been exploring adjectives, such as fast, strong, and brave, as well as vocabulary related to superpowers and superhero gadgets. To wrap up the project, students will work in groups to create a detailed description of their own original superhero, using the vocabulary they have learned.
The context for the creation of this superhero is for them to participate in a contest for the TV show “The Boys” which provides a different perspective for the traditional super-hero stories. In this show superheroes work for a corporation, and they participate in a reality show to be part of the team.

Students will need to draw a superhero of their choice, with the characteristic using the adjectives they have practice in the unit.
This description will serve as the prompt for generating a superhero image with Gamma AI. To get students started, the teacher will tell them that they will read a superhero description. T will tell them the hero name and show them the picture of the hero.
The following handout will serve as a guide for them to write a paragraph to present their superhero:
Once the paragraph has been finished, they will run it, together with the drawing of their superhero, through Gamma AI to create a presentation to be shown to the rest of the class. The objective is to persuade their fellow students that they should vote for their superhero to represent their school in the reality show of the TV show.
Teacher will provide the following sample description:
Name: Shadow Bolt
Appearance: Shadow Bolt is tall and strong. He wears a black and silver suit with glowing blue lines. He has a high-tech mask that helps him see in the dark. His cape can turn invisible.
Superpowers: He is super fast and can move like lightning. He can fly and shoot electric bolts from his hands. He also has night vision and super hearing.
Gadgets: He uses electric gloves, a jetpack, and a smartwatch that shows danger nearby.
Personality: Shadow Bolt is brave, calm, and always ready to help. He fights for justice and protects his city at night.
Objective for students to write a clear paragraph describing the hero and their characteristics as well as presenting them to the class. They also need to persuade and convince the rest of the class of why their candidate is the best one. This is an engaging way to practice writing and speaking skills, as well as listening from the part of the audience.
Teacher will have a rubric to score both the writing and the speaking production.
